TABLE OF COEFFICIENTS C1

The correction coefficient C2 takes into consideration the working conditions.
It represents the coefficient greater than 1 by which the nominal power must be multiplied to take into account any load peaks which may be present upon start-up or during operation. Its selection is based on the conditions reported in the table.

|
Type of service |
C2 |
Working conditions |
|
Light service |
1 |
Intermittent service - Operating for less than 6 hours per day. No load peak. Alternating current electric motors with normal torque |
|
Normal service |
1,25 |
Operating for 6-16 hours per day with load peaks or surge load which do not exceed 1.5 times the full load. Parallel excitation a.c. or d.c. electric motors. |
|
Heavy service |
1,5 |
Operating for 16-24 hours per day with load peaks upon surge load which do not exceed 2.5 times the full load. High surge torque a.c. motors or d.c. motors with series excitation. |
|
Extreme service |
1,6 – 2 |
Continuous service 24/7. Load peaks upon surge load which exceed 2.5 times the full load. - Frequent start-ups High surge torque a.c. electric motors or d.c. electric motors with series and compound excitation. |
